Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for enhancing our development and deployment processes, ensuring the reliability and performance of our applications. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement best practices in software development, deployment, and maintenance, while also providing technical support and guidance.

Duties

Key Mission : Own the infrastructure and DevOps systems from the ground up.
Greenfield Environment : Current infra is immature mostly single VMs and semi-manual Kubernetes deployments.
Will support :
The Microsoft Word add-in (web app embedded in Word)
The Ivo Assistant (single-tenancy deployments, Kubernetes-heavy)

Skills

Proficiency in Ruby on Rails for application development and maintenance.

Strong experience with software deployment methodologies and tools.

Familiarity with GitLab and GitHub for version control and collaboration.

Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on software troubleshooting.

Experience managing NoSQL databases like DynamoDB.

Ability to provide effective technical support in a fast-paced environment.

Knowledge of T-SQL for database queries and operations.

Strong organizational skills in software project management practices.

Familiarity with Elasticsearch for monitoring application performance.

Ideal Candidate :

Experience : Ideally 5+ years, but flexible 4+ acceptable; no upper limit.

Education : Preference for CS or engineering degrees from reputable institutions.

Background :

Startup experience is highly valued.

Bonus : B2B SaaS companies or any experience deploying systems for contract-heavy products.

Bonus : Experience working with large language models or AI / ML tools.

Soft Skills : High agency, resourcefulness, ownership mindset, ability to move fast and operate with little hand-holding.
