Primary Purpose and Essential Functions
The Visiting Assistant Clinical Professor position is being hired for the new online Master of Social Work (MSW) track and will report directly to the Assistant Program Director for the online MSW track and the Department Chair. Online visiting assistant clinical faculty will be primarily responsible for teaching online asynchronous and / or hybrid courses.
Responsibilities include :
Create or co-create online asynchronous and / or hybrid course content materials in the areas of expertise, including but not limited to :
Course syllabi.
Managing online course and course content.
Reading assignments.
Recorded and / or live lectures.
Outlines, scripts, voice-over, podcasts, and similar.
Quizzes and exams.
Discussion boards.
Assignments.
Assessments.
Student support and guidance.
Instructions and overview.
Other teaching material.
Content expertise in generalist or specialized courses including but not limited to :
Health and social welfare policy and advocacy.
Social, behavioral, psychological interventions in health and behavioral health settings.
Research and evaluation.
Healthcare-focused social work practice.
Behavioral health-focused social work practice.
Mental health diagnosis and intervention.
Diabetes care and management.
Social work within health and aging.
School-based social work practice.
Trauma-informed practice.
Substance Use assessment and treatment.

Work Environment / Work Week / Travel :
Schedule is dependent on the course and department needs. Hiring Range $7,000.00 - $8,000.00 per term. We consider factors such as, but not limited to, scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s qualifications, internal equity, as well as market and organizational considerations when extending an offer.
