Staff Pharmacist

Job Description

Duties

Responsible for the day-to-day pharmaceutical care and management of patients

Supervises Pharmacy Technicians to ensure the compliant and efficient operations of the pharmacy. Checks all work of Pharmacy Technicians in line with State Boards of Pharmacy regulations and provides guidance on complex prescriptions, pharmacy automation systems, orders, and other issues.

Interacts with patients, health care providers, clinics, and prescribers involved with the patient

Review prescriptions prior to dispensing and verify all questionable prescriptions

Ensure appropriate storage of products in the facility and compliance with all laws, regulations, and accrediting agencies ( NABP) standards

Maintain the required number of continuing education credits to maintain credentials as required by each state license

Assist with shipping logistics on orders before and after they ship

Comply with Cardinal Health and Hospital policies. Current license to practice Pharmacy in state of Texas.
