Work is available on an "as needed" basis on days when school is in session to cover an absence. May work in conjunction with another school nurse. Will provide professional nursing services in the maintenance of acceptable health standards, school heath records, and emergency treatment of student and employee health issues; does related work as required.

Rate of pay : $24 / hour ($168 - $180 / day)

Typical work hours : 8 : 00 am - 3 : 30 pm

Paid orientation and training provided.

Fingerprint clearance reimbursement ($102) after 5 days of service to the district.

Qualifications :

Must have a valid RN license

Able to pass a background check through Identogo / NYSED

Able to follow District procedures and guidelines for health care and medications

Able to understand and follow technical, oral, and written instructions

Able to maintain confidentiality

Excellent communication and organization skills

Effective and calm in handling emergencies

Strong work ethic

Mental alertness and emotional stability

Cheerful and patient

Physical condition commensurate with the demands of the position
