As a Security Officer - Logistics Access Control in Norfolk, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Allied Universal Security Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will monitor access points, conduct routine patrols, and help to deter security-related incidents. Your visible presence will support a secure environment while you deliver exceptional customer service and clear communication. Pay Rate : $18.80 / Hour

Job Schedule : Day Time

Mon 02 : 00 PM - 10 : 00 PM

Fri 02 : 00 PM - 10 : 00 PM

Sat 02 : 00 PM - 10 : 00 PM

Sun 02 : 00 PM - 10 : 00 PM

What You'll Do :

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Monitor access points to help to deter unauthorized entry and verify credentials of individuals entering and exiting the logistics and distribution location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter suspicious activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
  • Document and report any irregularities, property damage, or unusual occurrences encountered during assigned shifts.
  • Communicate professionally with clients, visitors, and / or staff to assist with inquiries and provide information related to security-related procedures.
  • Collaborate with Allied Universal management and local law enforcement as needed during incidents or emergencies.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • At least one year of security-related experience is required.
  • A Transportation Security Administration issued Transportation Worker Identification Credential is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
