As a Senior Manager of Software Development in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, you will build and lead an innovative engineering team in the development, delivery, and operation of cloud services designed specifically for the Multicloud and media and entertainment industries—enabling customers to move and optimize their workloads with OCI. Your charter includes responsibility for a new portfolio of cloud services potentially spanning playback, content augmentation, video transcoding and packaging, content delivery, streaming analytics (including AI-powered insights), and flexible billing & cost analysis. You will partner closely with executive leadership, proactively responding to shifting business priorities and rapidly adapting roadmaps as needed. We are seeking a hands-on leader with deep experience building and scaling AI-driven cloud services, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, and guiding teams using agile methodologies to deliver maximum value. You will mentor and grow engineers, encouraging innovation and cross-functional collaboration. You must be capable of leading rapid response efforts in high-visibility situations, seeing ambiguity as an opportunity, and driving critical business results in fast-paced, changing environments. Responsibilities

  • Launch new cloud services and establish a culture of operational excellence, embedding continuous feedback loops and data-driven improvements.
  • Set and drive technical direction, prioritizing business outcomes and KPIs over pure code completion or output.
  • Foster effective communication and knowledge-sharing across geographically distributed teams and a broad set of internal stakeholders.
  • Mentor, coach, and develop top engineering talent; celebrate team achievements and encourage professional growth.
  • Refine and reinforce software development standards, agile processes, and best practices throughout the organization.
  • Develop and execute strategic plans that deliver measurable business outcomes, collaborating with leadership, teams, and customers to define, align, and track Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

Qualifications

  • Significant experience building and leading agile, high-performing, and distributed software engineering teams at large / enterprise scale, ideally with a focus on AI-enabled solutions.
  • Demonstrated expertise in designing, developing, and operating cloud services, including the integration and application of AI and machine learning technologies.
  • Deep domain knowledge in playback, content augmentation, video transcoding / packaging, content delivery using CDNs, streaming analytics, and / or cost analysis for the media and entertainment sector.
  • Proven ability to communicate complex technical concepts, project updates, and business impacts to executive leadership and external partners.
  • Experience leading through rapid change, managing high-impact initiatives with agility, transparency, and a focus on results that matter to the business.
