Legal Assistant / Paralegal Totowa, NJ - near Montclair State University to $65,000 Active and Busy Law Office seeks motivated candidate for Legal Assistant / Paralegal position.This is a permanent full time position - on site (not to remote). Duties will include but are not limited to preparation of all documents related to Defense Personal Injury and Worker’s Compensation cases. Solid litigation skills are required as well as preparing / filing various types of discovery motion; prepare / serve medical authorizations; obtain medical records / schedule IME's; amend interrogatories, etc. Candidates must be well organized and take initiative to do followups and assist in obtaining discovery. Heavy communication with clients, courts and adversaries. Excellent opportunity for self starter who enjoys a fast pace and can work independently. Hours are : Monday through Friday 9-5; medical benefits; annual reviews with merit raises and paid time off.
