UCT is looking for a talented Sr Director of Operations to join us in Phoenix, AZ!
The Senior Director of Operations provides leadership and oversight for either single or multi-site operational execution within UCT Services, reporting to the Managing Director of Operations. This role ensures consistency, discipline, and alignment in safety, quality, delivery, cost, and people development (SQDCP). The Senior Director will drive operational excellence across assigned sites, standardize processes, and support the execution of UCT’s strategic objectives, while maintaining strong customer satisfaction and operational scalability.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
Strategic & Organizational Leadership
- Translate UCT’s corporate and regional strategies into actionable execution plans for assigned sites.
- Lead and mentor site Operations and their teams, ensuring clarity, accountability, and alignment.
- Facilitate cross-site collaboration, sharing best practices and driving adoption of standard operating systems.
- Support the Leadership in executing regional initiatives, while maintaining day-to-day ownership of site performance.
Operations Management
Oversee daily operations across multiple sites, including production, engineering, facilities, EH&S, logistics, and administrative functions.Ensure compliance with operational policies, procedures, and leader standard work.Implement and maintain KPIs, tier boards, and daily management systems to monitor performance and drive corrective action.Partner with site teams to resolve escalations, eliminate bottlenecks, and ensure on-time delivery.Customer & Commercial Alignment :
Ensure readiness for customer qualifications, audits, and escalations across sites.Partner with commercial and engineering teams to enable smooth introduction of new business.Maintain high standards of service delivery, ensuring operational execution supports revenue growth and customer satisfaction.People Development & Culture
Build and sustain high-performing site leadership teams through coaching and performance management.Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.Drive implementation of KPIs and visual management tools, enabling teams to own and understand their performance.Serve as a mentor and talent pipeline developer for future site and regional leaders.Other Duties

Strong leadership and people development skills, with proven ability to manage through influence across multiple sites.Deep knowledge of semiconductor / capital equipment industry operations, including manufacturing, safety, quality, and engineering.Financial acumen with ability to connect operational actions to P&L outcomes.Skilled in problem-solving, standardization, and deployment of lean methodologies.Strong communication and presentation skills, comfortable interacting with executives, customers, and site teams.Educational / Certification Requirement :
Bachelor’s Degree, MBA preferred, in Business Administration, Engineering, or Finance.Work Experience :
15+ years of related experience in a fast growth-oriented semiconductor / capital equipment organization.Management Experience ) :
Minimum 5 years managerial experience in semiconductor / capital equipment / manufacturing operations environment including technology development and operational improvementPhysical Demands and Working Conditions :
