About the Role

The Company is seeking an Executive Director to lead its mission of ending the HIV epidemic in the South. The successful candidate will be a visionary and strategic leader, responsible for setting the organization's vision, leading strategic planning, and ensuring the fulfillment of its essential mission. This role requires a deep understanding of the unique challenges faced by marginalized and underserved populations in the region, as well as a strong commitment to equitable HIV / AIDS care, prevention, access, and inclusivity. The Executive Director will manage a team, oversee financial and program operations, and be the primary spokesperson and advocate for the organization. Experience in nonprofit management, fundraising, and a proven track record of leading high-performing teams are essential.

Candidates for the Executive Director position at the company should have a minimum of 8 years' of relevant leadership experience, with a preference for those who have a background in HIV, health equity, and / or policy. The role demands a leader with strong organizational, staff management, and external relationship stewardship skills. The ideal candidate will have a history of successful fundraising, including securing large-scale grants from diverse sources, and be adept at building and maintaining relationships with a wide range of stakeholders. A deep commitment to the mission, persuasive communication abilities, and the capacity to lead a team in a transparent, collaborative, and mission-driven manner are key characteristics of the role. The Executive Director will also be expected to engage in policy and advocacy efforts, and to stay informed about relevant trends and developments in the field.
