Overview

A Software Engineer I - Core Banking is responsible for developing and maintaining software applications related to core banking systems. They collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, design, code, test, and deploy software solutions. They ensure the integrity and reliability of the core banking systems, identify and troubleshoot issues, and provide technical support. Additionally, they may participate in system upgrades, integration projects, and contribute to the overall improvement of the core banking software infrastructure.

Responsibilities

Assists in the design and development of software applications using programming languages appropriate for the assigned platform in compliance with the IT Security & SDLC Policies and applicable desk procedures.

• Designs, develops, troubleshoots, debugs, optimizes, and implements software code.
• Researches, tests, builds, and coordinates the integration of new software per production and client requirements.
• Implements code optimizations to help improve operating efficiency.
• Develops and maintains documentation to provide clear understanding of the purpose and operational procedures of the program.
• Identifies errors or exceptions and works with other team members to analyze and develop resolutions.
• Uses internal and external customer feedback to improve application functionality.
• Work within their team and have a direct impact on their tasks.
