Join our dedicated team as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Emergency Room, where you'll provide exceptional, patient-centered care using the nursing process of assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Essential Functions
- Deliver outstanding, patient-centered care following organizational policies and the nursing process.
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, accurately document findings, and promptly report changes in patient condition.
- Provide age-appropriate care and education utilizing knowledge of human growth and development.
- Administer prescribed medications, monitor for side effects, and document in compliance with standards of practice.
- Assist physicians during procedures within the scope of your competency.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to formulate, implement, and evaluate personalized care plans based on patient assessments.
- Be prepared to respond to medical emergencies, participating in life-saving interventions such as CPR and code activities as needed.
- Advocate for patients’ rights and needs, ensuring their voices are integral in care planning.
- Educate patients and families on medical conditions, treatment plans, and post-discharge care for clarity and adherence.
- Implement infection control protocols to minimize the spread of healthcare-associated infections.
- Monitor and operate medical equipment essential for patient care and safety.
- Ensure a clean and safe environment for patients and staff by adhering to National Patient Safety Goals.
- Participate in audits and compliance checks to meet standards of practice and regulatory requirements.
- Make responsible decisions in planning and delivering care based on patient needs.
- Document patient care and education thoroughly and in a timely manner.
- Engage in professional development to stay current with nursing standards and practices.
- Contribute to performance improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing patient outcomes.
- Critical Care RN Responsibilities :
Administer medications and treatments, including IV therapies as prescribed.
Manage complex medical equipment like ventilators and monitoring devices.Perform advanced procedures such as central line insertions and life support techniques.Emergency Services RN Responsibilities :Rapidly assess patients' conditions to prioritize urgent care needs.
Perform emergency procedures including intubation and suturing.Stabilize patients through interventions such as IV line initiation and respiratory support.Other Areas of Specialization :OR Services RN : Comprehensive perioperative care and sterile environment maintenance.
Cardiac Surgery RN : Monitor post-surgery recovery and manage specialized cardiac equipment.Endoscopy RN : Pre- and post-procedure patient assessments and education.Obstetrics RN : Support women during labor and manage postpartum care.Oncology RN : Administer chemotherapy and provide emotional and psychological support.Dialysis RN : Operate dialysis machines and educate families about kidney treatment.NICU RN : Continuous assessment and support for critically ill newborns.Telemetry RN : Analyze telemetry data for cardiac monitoring.PACU RN : Assess and manage post-anesthesia recovery.Perform additional duties as assigned and comply with policies and standards.Qualifications
0-2 years of experience in a clinical nursing role or in clinical rotations in an acute care environment preferred.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Strong understanding of nursing practices and patient care.Ability to conduct thorough assessments and effectively communicate findings.Proficient in medication administration and observing for side effects.Excellent interpersonal skills for team collaboration.Detail-oriented and organized in documentation and care delivery.Familiarity with safety standards and quality improvement initiatives.Licenses and Certifications
