Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Mechanisms Engineer to join Midland, TX -based pioneering aerospace and telecom company developing the first satellite-based cellular broadband network designed to deliver high-speed mobile connectivity directly to standard smartphones. This position is fully onsite and requires up to a Secret clearance eligibility.

Responsibilities of the Mechanisms Engineer :

Lead and perform testing activities, including the development of test requirements, procedures, materials, and tooling for vibration, shock, thermal vacuum (TVAC), and assembly processes.
Drive iterative mechanism design improvements based on test and production environment findings.
Conduct design, analysis, and system trade studies to optimize Assembly, Integration, and Test (AI&T) processes at both system and spacecraft levels, focusing on workflow efficiency, integration ease, and production speed.
Collaborate with Design Engineering to enhance manufacturability, reduce costs, and streamline production layouts by applying expertise in product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials.
Provide detailed product and process reports through data collection, analysis, and feedback from operators and technicians.
Apply sound engineering principles to execute design and analysis tasks in compliance with business standards, procedures, and program requirements.
Investigate anomalies and failures, perform root-cause analyses, and implement effective resolutions.
Deliver ongoing manufacturing engineering support to production teams.

Qualifications of the Mechanisms Engineer :

3+ years in manufacturing (preferably aerospace industry experience)

Hands-on experience in Assembly, Integration, and Testing (AIT)

Six Sigma Black Belt certification preferred

Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing)

Compensation for the Mechanisms Engineer :

Salary : $85,000-100,000 / year
