About the Role

The Company is seeking a VP for Applied Research and Creative Engineering to lead the strategic integration of scientific and engineering methodologies into the development of innovative, market-ready solutions. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting and evolving the vision, service model, and operating framework to ensure that research investment translates into tangible business impact. This role requires a leader with a strong background in computer science, engineering, or a related technical discipline, and a proven track record in managing rapid-prototyping initiatives. The VP will be accountable for building and continuously improving a scalable operating model, driving an innovation cycle, and fostering a culture of creativity and disciplined delivery within a multi-disciplinary team. Applicants should have at least 15 years' experience in applied research, product incubation, or innovation management, with a focus on strategic and organizational leadership. The role demands a leader with the ability to design and scale operating models, partner across research, engineering, and product organizations, and manage budgets and resources effectively. Proficiency in AI / ML and a PhD or Master's degree in a relevant field are strongly preferred. The ideal candidate will have a proven ability to influence and communicate complex technical and strategic recommendations to senior stakeholders, and to work in a fast-moving, ambiguous environment with a data-driven, adaptable approach.
