Job Description
Join a leading team dedicated to innovating and designing cutting-edge data center solutions! As an architect, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our data center infrastructure. Here's what you can expect :
Architecture and Standards
Take ownership of the complete reference architectures for site power (HV / MV / LV), mechanical / cooling systems (air, liquid, adiabatic), UPS, BESS, and building systems.
Define design parameters to support density growth (HPC / AI) and modularity, while implementing effective redundancy and maintainability strategies (N+1 / 2N).
Develop and update design guides, specifications, and acceptance criteria in alignment with global codes and best practices.
Integrated Design and Delivery
Lead collaborative design efforts from initial concept through to successful commissioning (L1-L5).
Validate system interactions using studies and models (load flow, short-circuit, arc flash, CFD / thermal analysis, acoustics, structural interfaces).
Ensure smooth integration of controls (BMS / SCADA / EMS / PLC), as well as monitoring and alarm systems for optimal performance and safety.
Efficiency, Sustainability, and Cost Management
Set and achieve targets for PUE, WUE while balancing trade-offs between energy, water, and reliability.
Lead the development of total cost of ownership (TCO) analysis to minimize capex / opex and mechanical / electrical losses.
Vendor, Utility, and Stakeholder Management
Oversee RFIs / RFPs and conduct technical evaluations for equipment standardization such as transformers, switchgear, UPS, generators, and cooling systems.
Collaborate with utility partners on interconnection and capacity planning, including islanding capabilities and microgrid controls where applicable.
Engage with cross-functional teams (design, construction, operations, supply chain, finance) to communicate trade-offs effectively to executive stakeholders.
What You'll Bring :
12+ years of experience in data center or mission-critical facility design, with deep expertise in electrical and mechanical domains.
A proven track record of delivering large-scale projects from initial concept to operational status, including systems testing and commissioning.
In-depth expertise in HV / MV / LV distribution, substations, UPS / BESS integration, generators, and mechanical systems (air / liquid / adiabatic cooling).
Experience optimizing PUE / WUE, availability, and TCO across multiple sites or regions.
Proficiency in power system analysis, CFD / thermal modeling, BIM / Revit, and controls integration (BMS / SCADA / EMS).
A strong vendor / OEM network and experience in leading RFx, FAT / SAT, and negotiating technical specifications.
Exceptional communication and influence skills, with a knack for making data-driven decisions and presenting clear trade-off analyses.
