Senior Cloud Solution Architect – Government, Defense & Intelligence (Oracle GDI)
Location
Greater Washington, DC area – hybrid : onsite 3‑4 days per week, remote 1‑2 days per week.

Responsibilities
- Create and lead presales technical / functional support activity for prospective clients.
- Engage with strategic and complex customers, build leadership relationships at multiple levels, and design solutions to meet strategic goals.
- Embed with customers to understand systems, gather requirements, develop architecture diagrams, translate mission needs into solutions, and assist with implementation.
- Demonstrate product / application understanding through customized presentations to customers and at conferences.
- Support customers from Proof of Concept (POC) through production deployment via configuration, planning, and training.
- Contribute to technical response for solicitations (RFI, RFQ, RFP, whitepapers).
- Provide leadership in developing new solutions, products, and processes; stay current on emerging technologies.
- Act as recognized authority for customers and sales on technical cloud solutions and customer success.
- Identify gaps and enhancements to influence engineering roadmaps.
- 8+ years’ experience communicating technical information through presentations, demonstrations, written communication, and consultative solutioning.
- Travel up to 50% may be needed.
Required Qualifications
Experience working with Federal Government.Leading in-depth discovery sessions with customers resulting in business process workflows and architecture diagrams.Rearchitecting systems to cloud‑native architectures.Experience with cloud, hybrid, and multi‑cloud architectures, including full and split‑stack deployments.Experience sizing and pricing hardware, software, and cloud requirements.Strong understanding of IaaS components : networking, VPNs, firewalls, IAM, containers, Kubernetes, encryption.Strong understanding of modern data platform architectures : ingestion, integration, security, pipelines, federation, analytics.Experience monitoring performance of infrastructure with monitoring and alerting tools.Experience designing resilient / redundant architectures to meet COOP, RTO / RPO requirements.Preferred Qualifications
Hands‑on experience with Oracle hardware (Exadata) and Oracle Database 19c.Solution Architect and / or Developer Certification on Oracle Cloud, AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.Compensation
US : Hiring range $113,100 – $185,100 per year. Eligible for equity and commission (approximately 70% salary, 30% commission). Salary ranges vary based on location, experience, and market conditions.
