The Lead Cybersecurity Network Engineer performs research on network vulnerabilities to pro-actively determine security flaws on various network equipment from vendors such as Arista, Nokia, Ericsson, Cisco, Juniper, etc. Based on these findings the position is responsible for architecture and design of the network element security hardening. This is not a supervisory position.

What You Will Do :

• Work with the router software vendors involved to create a standardized design for new security features that can be shared across vendors and provide a standard way to check software status on the equipment.
• Implement security controls, policies and standards for core network that cover : Routing security, network compartmentalization, etc., to reduce cyber risks and increase security controls to the core telecom network.
• Ideation, testing, proof of concept and support for various cyber related projects facing AT&T's core telecom network.
• Analysis of complex security issues and the development and engineering activities to help mitigate risk.
• Analyzes various hardware and / or software solutions for the core telecom network recommending purchases and identifying modifications to fit AT&T's cybersecurity needs and that of our operations teams.
• Develops policies and procedures to minimize network intrusion, malware events and vulnerability issues for internal and external customers.
• Applies measures to block malicious code and applications. Includes forward looking research, planning, and strategy to strengthen our stance against future cyber security threats and enhance our mitigation techniques and technology solutions.

Our Lead Cybersecurity earns between $128,400-$192,600 USD Annual. Not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education / training.
