Bench Scientist

Job Title : Bench Scientist Location : Andover, MA Type : Contract Overview Leading pharmaceutical company looking for an experienced Bench Scientist. Ideal candidates should have a BS / MS degree in chemistry, biological sciences, biochemistry or related fields with LC-MS and protein quantitation assay experience. Responsibilities Preparation of samples for mass spectrometry analysis Design of experiments in collaboration with colleagues Conduct analytical experiments and method development as needed Identify and exploit new scientific concepts Interpretation and documentation of experimental results Communication of experimental results to team members Maintain high quality record in electronic lab notebook Requirements BS / MS degree in chemistry, biological sciences, biochemistry or related fields (NON-PhD) Bachelors Degree with a minimum of 3+ years of experience OR; Master's Degree with a minimum of 1+ years of experience Experience with LC-MS biological sample preparation involving a multi-step process to isolate, purify, and concentrate the analytes of interest for the LCMS analysis Experience with the operation of LC-MS instrument and familiar with related operation software (Analyst, Xcalibur or Skyline) Works well both independently and as part of a team Collaborative skills and effective partnering skills in a matrix environment Strong data organization, analysis, and communication skills ADC
