We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Medical Assistant to join our team in a Back Office MA position. The role involves providing essential support in patient care and assisting providers with various medical procedures. Responsibilities :

• Conduct patient intakes and prepare rooms for patient visits.
• Perform vital checks and assist in rooming patients.
• Aid providers in patient care and assist with setting up and breaking down office procedures.
• Measure and record manual blood pressure.
• Update and manage patient records using EMR systems, preferably Athena or Epic.
• Scan documents and update inboxes for EMR.
• Sterilize medical instruments and maintain cleanliness.
• Update medication charts and restock rooms and supply closets.
• Complete inventory management tasks.
• Triage phone calls to address physician or patient questions.
• Input orders and maintain accurate electronic medical records.

Work Environment :

The position offers a 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday with two Saturdays a month. Typical hours are Monday-Thursday from 7 : 45 AM to 5 : 00 PM, Friday from 8 : 00 AM to 2 : 00 PM, and Saturday from 8 : 00 AM to 12 : 00 PM. The office handles a high patient volume, with around 80-100 patients seen daily, including two doctors working simultaneously. Employees may be required to travel to different offices, including Morristown, Fairlawn, and Livingston, with travel expenses reimbursed. Scheduling is done monthly to provide advance notice of any required travel.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of New Providence, NJ.

Pay and Benefits :

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $24.00 / hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
