As a Multi-Class Teacher , youll manage a classroom that promotes preschool readiness, emotional intelligence, and social skill developmentall while mentoring assistant teachers and working closely with families.
Curriculum & Instruction
Implement lesson plans based on developmentally appropriate practices (DAP) and individualized instructionLead circle time, group activities, learning centers , and classroom transitionsFoster early academic skills including pre-literacy, numeracy, fine motor skills, and language developmentUtilize observation and assessment tools to track student progress and adjust instruction accordinglyClassroom Leadership
Create a structured, engaging, and nurturing environment aligned with Cognia standardsSupervise and guide Co-Teachers , modeling effective teaching strategies and classroom routinesMaintain classroom organization, cleanliness, and safety protocolsImplement positive behavior guidance and social-emotional learning strategiesFamily Communication & School Collaboration
Maintain open communication with families through daily updates, progress reports, and scheduled conferencesSupport and attend family engagement events , parent education sessions, and school celebrationsCollaborate with school administrators and fellow teachers to ensure alignment with school goals and state licensing standardsQualifications
High School Diploma or GEDMinimum 12 years of classroom experience in a licensed preschool or early childhood centerProven ability to lead classroom activities and routines with confidence and consistencyStrong knowledge of child development, learning domains, and early intervention best practicesEffective communication skills with children, families, and co-workersA love for young children and a commitment to their growth and well-beingPreferred Experience
Associates or Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or related field (required or in progress)Knowledge of state childcare licensing regulations and quality standardsBackground in inclusive education, sensory integration, or differentiated instruction is a plusReady to Make a Difference?
