Major, Lindsey & Africa’s Interim Legal Talent group has an immediate need for an Interim to Permanent Commercial Real Estate Paralegal.
Overview : Our seeks a skilled and experienced Commercial Real Estate Paralegal to join its team.
Company : Our client is a real estate investment trust (REIT) focused on the acquisition and operation of single-tenant, industrial properties throughout the United States.
Experience : Seven or more years’ transactional experience acquired in a top law firm and / or well-respected in-house environment.
Location : Boston, Massachusetts.
Responsibilities Include :
- Review negotiate and draft a variety of complex commercial real estate agreements including : access agreements, assignments, termination agreements, consents to assignment, consents to sublease, estoppel certificates, confidentiality or Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDAs), SNDAs, move-out obligation letters, default notices and demand letters, and landlord waiver agreements.
- Review lease agreements and draft simple lease amendments, extensions or renewals and real estate license agreements (short-term leases).
- Assist due diligence coordinator with the process of acquiring and disposing of properties (obtaining diligence reports, coordinating with third-party professionals, coordinating with internal team members, tracking deadlines, etc.).
- Review and provide initial comments on NDAs from third parties.
- Maintain and track expirations of letters of credit.
- Collect, organize, and maintain diligence materials in connection with securities offerings and borrowing transactions.
Qualifications Include :
Excellent academic credentials including a baccalaureate degree from a well-respected US University.Seven or more years relevant transactional experience, preferably with three or more years at a law firm servicing commercial real estate clients.Tech skills : Excel; contracts management and database system.Information regarding benefits can be found on MLA’s Website on the Consultant Resources Page :
