Description :

We are seeking a skilled and safety-focused Drone Pilot with a valid FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate to join our team. The Drone Pilot will be responsible for operating unmanned aerial systems (UAS) to capture high-quality aerial imagery, video, and data to support company projects and client needs. This role requires technical expertise, strong situational awareness, and strict adherence to FAA regulations, safety procedures, and company protocols.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Operate drones for aerial photography, videography, mapping, inspections, or survey work as assigned.
  • Conduct pre-flight and post-flight inspections to ensure equipment is functioning properly.
  • Plan and execute flight missions, including site assessments, risk evaluations, and regulatory compliance.
  • Safely operate drones in proximity to energized electrical infrastructure, ensuring compliance with utility safety standards and minimizing risk to personnel and equipment.
  • Conduct hazard assessments and establish safe flight paths when working around live transmission and distribution lines.
  • Coordinate with utility safety personnel and follow established clearance and communication protocols when flying near energized assets.
  • Maintain compliance with FAA Part 107 regulations and any additional airspace requirements.
  • Process, organize, and deliver aerial data, imagery, and reports to clients or internal stakeholders.
  • Maintain drone equipment, batteries, and software to ensure operational readiness.
  • Collaborate with project teams to understand deliverables and align drone operations with project goals.
  • Document flight logs, maintenance records, and safety reports.

    Requirements :

  • Valid FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate (required).
  • Proven experience operating drones in commercial or professional settings.
  • Strong knowledge of FAA regulations, airspace classifications, and drone safety practices.
  • Technical proficiency in flight planning software, GPS systems, and data processing tools.
  • Ability to troubleshoot equipment issues and perform minor repairs or adjustments.
  • Excellent attention to detail, situational awareness, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in team environments.
  • Willingness to travel to job sites as required.
  • Preferred Skills (not required) :

  • Experience with drone mapping, LiDAR, thermal imaging, or photogrammetry.
  • Background in construction, utilities, surveying, agriculture, or inspections.
  • Familiarity with GIS software or data analysis tools.
  • FAA airspace waiver application experience.
