What this job involves
The Mobile Operating Engineer will perform various preventative maintenance, repairs, and hands-on work within JLL standards and guidelines across commercial properties in Santa Ana, CA. This mobile role involves implementing operations, maintenance, and facilities strategies to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient buildings, building systems, and equipment.
Your day-to-day tasks will include :
- Applying comprehensive knowledge of safe work practices, especially regarding energized work, working at heights, and confined spaces
- Recognizing, assessing, and mitigating or eliminating risks in facility operations
- Using proper PPE for all associated maintenance and repair tasks
- Evaluating, training, and coaching Engineers and Maintenance Technicians as requested by supervisors
- Completing repairs and maintenance on commercial building systems (HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Vertical Transportation, Life Safety, Roofs, Structure, Parking Lots) using industry standard tools
- Performing preventative maintenance to keep properties in peak operational condition
- Servicing diverse areas, including office spaces, warehouse areas, and lab spaces
Desired experience and technical skills
Requirements :
5-7 years of Skilled Trades experienceEPA 608 Universal CertificationAbility to analyze Commercial or Industrial Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing and HVAC systems, determine causes of malfunctions, and implement corrective actionsExperience working with ice machinesProficiency with computers and programs including Excel, Word, and OutlookHigh School diploma or GED equivalentPhysical ability to bend, sit, kneel, squat, stand, reach, and lift up to 50 lbsAbility to work in various weather conditions during daylight and nighttime hoursPreferred :
