SUMMARY

Responsible for maintaining all manufacturing equipment, conveying systems and utility support equipment to minimize downtime.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining machinery and mechanical / electrical equipment such as motors, conveyor systems, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, production machines, boilers, pumps, packaging equipment, material handling equipment, bulk delivery equipment, and blending / mixing systems. This position will primarily focus on the utilities and manufacturing equipment side of maintenance. Practice safe work habits at all times.

EDUCATION and / or EXPERIENCE

High school / GED or vocational school in related field required or

3 plus years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.

Certificates and Licenses : Certified Electrician, Trade or vocational certifications preferred. Other trade certifications or in-depth experience may be required,

Must be able to read and interpret technical, mechanical or electrical drawings and schematics.

Candidates are PREFERRED who offer the following :

Prior work experience in the corrugated industry.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or graphic form. Ability to deal with problems involving one or more variables in standardized situations.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

May be required to maintain a current Lift Truck Operator License and / or other appropriate certification to work in certain areas or on certain equipment.

The performance of the employee will be measured as follows :

Operating standards - the employee will need to meet or exceed the Operating Standards in the areas of quality, cost, safety, customer satisfaction and productivity. Such standards will be set annually and communicated to the employee.
