Job Function / Purpose

The CAD Designer works with sales and technical staff to interpret project specifications and drawings to determine system layout and develop installation drawings for a successful project. Responsible for design and layout of low voltage systems, including but not limited to physical security systems, intercom, nurse call, paging, and / or A / V systems. The Designer will utilize system knowledge, design tools (AutoCAD), and available resources to assist in system design tasks as needed. The salary range for this role is between $70,000 and $90,000 USD, commensurate with relevant education, experience, and other job-related factors.

Job Qualifications

• Knowledge :
• Intermediate to advanced skill level for the latest version of 2D AutoCAD is necessary.
• Experience with design of low voltage electronic systems is required.
• Technical design experience in security systems is required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel).
• Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple projects and timelines.
• Experience in low voltage systems such as Access Control, Video Surveillance, Nurse Call, Public Address, and A / V is a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
