Are you a detail-oriented leader with a passion for managing complex construction projects? I'm seeking a Project Manager to oversee a portfolio of commercial and industrial solar projects from contract signing through to operations and maintenance. This hybrid role offers a dynamic mix of office and field work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Ownership : Lead projects from initiation to closeout, ensuring financial and contractual success.
  • Financial Oversight : Monitor billing schedules, track budgets vs. actuals, and manage change orders.
  • Risk Management : Identify and communicate risks to senior leadership.
  • Scheduling & Coordination : Develop and maintain project schedules, coordinate with general contractors and trades.
  • Procurement & Subcontracting : Order materials and equipment, negotiate subcontractor agreements.
  • Efficiency Monitoring : Track installation metrics and identify opportunities for cost and time savings.
  • Client Relations : Conduct regular meetings to maintain alignment and ensure satisfaction.
  • Documentation & Reporting : Prepare after-action reports and lead project kickoff, design review, and pre-mobilization meetings.

Team Leadership & Culture

  • Promote core values and foster a collaborative, learning-focused environment.
  • Support employee development through training, mentorship, and performance planning.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders including inspectors, owners, and subcontractors.
  • Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion in hiring and team development.
  • Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience managing solar construction projects and subcontractors.
  • Strong knowledge of NEC, NFPA 70E, plumbing code, and UBC.
  • Familiarity with grid-tied PV systems, solar hot water systems, and fluid circuits.
  • Ability to read and redline technical plans.
  • Experience with permitting processes and inspections.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency in project management and accounting software (e.g., Dropbox, SCOOP, Sage Intact).
  • Willingness to travel within California and work extended hours when needed.
