Title : UX React Designer

Location : Sunnyvale, CA

Duration : 12 months with ability to extend for another 6months

Scope

Designer will work primarily across our Automation Tool, The Eye, helping us build a user interface for a Localization Producer (screenshots below). The Eye is built as a native MacOS application. Our primary customer is our Localization Producer team who have limited technical expertise. They are our primarily linguists and project managers. Our goal is for the UI to be intuitive, easy to use, but offering enough context for the user to schedule and execute testing scripts on a regular cadence.

Additionally the Designer will help across a suite of tools that we are developing as part of our Localization 2.0 program, to drive efficiency at scale by automating many manual processes, and building task based workflow tools to manage our external vendor and contractor workforce, and also our end to end production process, which today is mainly conducted thru spreadsheets, box, quip and email.

Experience

  • macOS native design experience is critical with a focus on localization QA automation, this individual would also be supporting web based tools / applications
  • Exhibits strong history of clearly communicating with cross-functional teams, including; Engineers, EPMs, Business Stakeholders and Design Peers
  • Can demonstrate strong design principles where they have used common native macOS design patterns in their previous projects.
  • Can demonstrate previous experience self-starting on projects and where they have helped drive UX decisions relative to business and technical requirements.
  • Can demonstrate from previous projects, extraordinary communication and presentation skills (written and verbal) to all cross-functional partners.

Key Qualifications

  • 3+ years with macOS native design experience is critical
  • 3+ years of Extensive experience as a React JS Developer and 3 years of Experience as a UI / UX Developer
  • Expert in developing User Interface UI applications and professional web applications using JavaScript, HTML5 / DHTML, DOM, XHTML, jQuery, CSS3, Ajax and JSON.
  • Extensive experience in developing web pages using HTML5, XML, DHTML, CSS3, SASS, LESS, JavaScript, React JS, Redux, Flex, Angular JS, JQuery, JSON, Node.js,, Ajax, Bootstrap and usage in large scale applications
  • Passion for building a rich and innovative user experience
  • Familiarity with Java, Python, JavaScript, Xcode and macOS SDK
  • Understanding of automation scripts and frameworks
  • Knowledge of software development lifecycle, test methodologies and tools, and passion for quality processes
  • Experienced in designing workflow tools, and architecting test frameworks
  • Highly organized, creative, motivated, and passionate about achieving results
  • Creative thinker and strong problem solver with meticulous attention to detail
  • An enthusiasm for user-focused design & high-quality products
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are needed to facilitate close interaction with development teams, management, and other organizations
