The Role

To succeed in this role, you must have a genuine passion for helping and supporting customers, always prioritizing their best interests alongside those of the business.

The main responsibilities include :

  • Providing industry-leading customer service with innovative solutions to overcome challenges faced by customers.
  • Applying advanced troubleshooting techniques to resolve customer issues.
  • Collaborating with Grass Valley Support Account Managers and Product Experts to reproduce and resolve issues.
  • Managing customer communication effectively.
  • Leading projects to improve support processes and enhance the customer support experience.
  • Creating tutorials, how-to videos, and technical articles.
  • Handling complex customer problems promptly and accurately.
  • Logging issues properly within SFDC, JIRA, and support programs.
  • Managing multiple open issues simultaneously.
  • Preparing accurate and timely reports.
  • Producing design and deployment documentation, including solutions using Grass Valley AMPP Technology.

Qualifications for Success

Technology Systems Knowledge :

  • At least 1 year of relevant experience in the broadcast industry (video or cloud services).
  • Experience in Broadcast Technical Support, Field Service, Technical Operations, or Professional Services roles preferred.
  • Experience with CRM systems.
  • Understanding of broadcast production, media file standards, and applications.
  • Knowledge of digital and analogue electronics, video, and audio systems.
  • Basic IP networking skills, including switching, routing, and multicast.
  • Familiarity with server-based applications and computer networking.
  • Awareness of security concepts and best practices.
  • Other Preferred Skills :

  • Strong customer focus and multi-tasking abilities.
  • Self-motivated with a passion for technology.
  • Excellent research, communication, and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
  • Willingness to travel to customer sites as needed.
  • Fluency in English; additional languages such as French, Spanish, Italian, or German are advantageous.
