• Alabama Warm Line Director   Must Reside in Alabama Salary Range : $50,000-$60,000 / year Location :   Birmingham, AL (Remote) Reports to :   Executive Director FTE : 1 (40 hours per week) Full Time / Virtual   Job Summary The Warm Line Director reports to the Executive Director of Wings Across Alabama and provides vision, leadership, and motivation to the Warm Line staff in furthering Wings’ mission and accomplishing its goals.
• Working with the Executive Director and Warm Line Coordinator, the Warm Line Director implements Warm Line goals and objectives and oversees the development of program strategies, policies, and procedures.
• This position is supervised by the Executive Director.
• This is a remote full-time FLSA exempt position.    Essential Duties A .
• Leadership and Vision Responsibilities Continue the tradition of the mental health Peer Support movement in Alabama and facilitate changes in the mental health system by fostering communication and being a spokesperson for people in recovery and for the value of peer support services.
• Provide leadership in establishing, maintaining, and expanding sound working relationships and cooperative arrangements with community groups and organizations and represent the programs of Wings and the point of view of the organization to agencies, organizations, and the public.  Facilitate team cohesion, positive morale and environment of wellness and support with all team members, which attracts, retains, and motivates a diverse, highly qualified staff.
• Develop an operational plan with the Executive Director to incorporate goals, objectives and outcomes toward the strategic direction and growth of the Warm Line.
• Meet the reporting and program evaluation requirements of funding sources in a timely manner Implement both the spirit and intent of the mission statement of Wings and operate within all relevant Federal, State, Local, and other applicable regulations, guidelines, and laws.   B .
• Administrative Duties Manage phones and messaging through RingCentral as needed.  Provide peer support and mentoring to Warm Line Specialists as needed.
• Develop and implement policies and procedures in accordance with Federal, State, Local and all other appropriate regulations, laws, and guidelines, and work collaboratively with the Warm Line Coordinator and the Executive Director to ensure that policies and procedures remain up to date.
• Report regularly to the Executive Director as appropriate, any issues that may significantly impact Wings or individuals therein.  Oversee all Warm Line programs and activities, staying informed of and maintaining contact with all Warm Line staff and the Executive Director, and responding to their needs as appropriate.
• Ensure that all remote locations meet health, safety and service provision needs of staff as appropriate.
• Assist in the production of Alabama Warm Line outreach materials, including Wings brochure, website, and social media.
• Work a minimum of one (4) hour shift per week for the first 90 days of employment as Warm Line Director.    C .
• Positive Peer-oriented Services and Peer Support Promote an atmosphere of mutual support and empowerment for the Warm Line Team.
• Foster self-help, informed choice, advocacy and elimination of stigma and discrimination.
• Foster egalitarian principles and encourage diverse individuals to provide input regarding Warm Line policies, procedures and services.
• Encourage input and assist with implementation of innovative ideas.
• Promote personal empowerment, responsibility, and self-direction for all team members.
• Model and uphold the peer values of mutual respect, equality, safety, and peer collaboration in all program activities.   D .
• Staffing and Supervision Duties Oversee and direct the delivery of services consistent with peer values of mutual respect and peer support.
• Support and evaluate staff effectiveness and performance at the end of the 3-month probationary period, informally through on-going supervision meetings and summarizes performance every year and as needed collaboratively with employees.
• Lead team meetings weekly and give presentations on the Warm Line as requested.
• Facilitate employee empowerment to self-direct their on-going growth and learning by mutually identifying and supporting continued education.

Collect, verify, and provide payroll hours by the 1 st of each month to the Executive Director.    Minimum Qualifications Education / Experience Requirements :
