Summary :

The Outreach Specialist will work individually and within a team to determine eligibility for services, while also participating in outreach events and building relationships within the community. The role involves working directly with clients, vendors, community partners, and the public. The ideal candidate must be highly detail-oriented and able to assess situations quickly and accurately, determining eligibility for services. This position requires a creative, self-starter who is comfortable interacting with various stakeholders and has a passion for community development.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities :

• Eligibility Determination :

Assess and determine eligibility for various services based on client needs and criteria.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client information and service eligibility.

Schedule and participate in outreach events to educate the community and provide eligibility determination for services.

Provide excellent customer service, assisting clients in navigating the services available to them.

Use motivational interviewing techniques to support customers in crisis and assist them in accessing the services they need.

Offer guidance, coaching, and support to clients to help them meet their goals.

Assist clients in accessing additional community resources and support services.

Contribute to the development and growth of community outreach and support networks.

Build and maintain relationships with community organizations, vendors, and partners to expand resources and support for clients.

Education & Experience Qualifications :

Associate’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field is required.

At least 2 years of experience in the Human Services field.

A combination of education, experience, and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities will be considered for the position. Management retains the right to waive education or experience requirements based on demonstrated competence.
