EHS Assistant Manager - Automotive Parts Manufacturer (34595)

Overview

An international automotive parts manufacturer near Fort Wayne, IN is seeking a motivated EHS Assistant Manager to join their team. The ideal candidate has proven leadership and EHS experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment. This is a full-time, direct-hire position with a competitive salary and outstanding benefits package including health, dental, vision, and 401(k) matching.

Responsibilities

• Assist EHS Manager in overseeing the EHS department and support supervisors in daily activities
• Ensure training materials, plans, and competency checks are in place for EHS associates and provide ongoing feedback
• Supervise safety programs for all associates and ensure safety guidelines are followed
• Assist with OSHA compliance and ensure proper documentation is filed
• Investigate safety incidents and report findings, tracking resolutions for known issues
• Assist with development and implementation of EHS procedures
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of local, state, and federal EHS regulations and ensure compliance
• Assist with disciplinary actions as needed
• Manage scheduling including overtime and vacation for direct reports
• Ensure a safe and clean working environment
• Perform other tasks as assigned
