Exhaust Fabricator / SS&AI Tig welder

Fat Fender Garage is seeking a professional to fill the role of Automotive Fabrication and Sheet Metal Shaper. The highly qualified Automotive / Truck Technician will play an integral role in building and engaging the company's customer mission having a deep understanding and passion as an Automotive / Truck Technician and willing to contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed to promote the long-term growth with Fat Fender Garage. This is a full-time and permanent role.

About Your Role

• Attention to detail
• Efficient and reliable
• Must know how to TIG weld SS&AI
• Know how to use grinders, belt sanders bandsaw, and cutoff saw
• Must be creative and have forward vision of the project
• Proficient with MIG welding
• Ability to read and understand shop drawing and welding details

Qualifications

• Must have minimum of 5+ years' experience as a Fabricator / Welder
• A plus having Vocational / Technical school program or apprenticeship in auto repair or related field.
• High school diploma or equivalent education required
• Knowledge and understanding of Vintage Trucks, Automotive industry a plus.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work well independently or in a team environment.
• Good communication skills and good organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Providing own tools and transportation are a must.
• Valid driver's license and current automobile insurance.

Physical Demands

• Must be able to lift, carry, and place merchandise and supplies up to 50 pounds without assistance.
• Frequent reaching overhead and below the knees, including squatting, bending, stooping, kneeling, twisting.
• Be able to work safely in a noisy area with many odors present.
• Safely operates a motor vehicle.
• Drug Free Environment

Compensation : $23.00 - $30.00 per hour
