Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Hospice Biller to join our Service Center Revenue Cycle team. In this role, you will manage assigned insurance accounts, ensuring timely and accurate claim submissions, follow-ups, and resolutions of any billing-related issues. Your contributions will play a key role in the financial health of our organization, directly supporting our mission.
Schedule
- This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday.
- Availability is required until 6 : 00 PM each workday.
- Based out of our Lehi, Utah office.
- A hybrid schedule may be available after completing the training period of 90 days. Remote work eligibility depends on performance.
Key Responsibilities
Verify patient insurance eligibility and coverage.Prepare and submit accurate claims to insurance companies.Address and resolve unpaid or denied claims through corrections and appeals.Post insurance payments and process explanation of benefits (EOBs) accurately.Collaborate with remote team members across agencies to resolve billing discrepancies.Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality.Partner with the billing team to ensure efficient and timely claim submissions.Monitor accounts receivable to ensure timely reimbursement and resolve overdue accounts.Generate and review aging reports to identify outstanding balances and take corrective action.Contact insurance companies and patients to follow up on overdue payments.Process refunds and adjustments when applicable.Maintain accurate records of all billing and accounts receivable transactions.Reconcile accounts receivable discrepancies and resolve payment variances.Perform other tasks related to collections, billing, data entry, and system operations as needed.Compensation
17.00–$21.00 per hour, depending on experience (DOE).Qualifications
Proven experience as a Medical Biller or in a related role.Quick adaptability to new processes and technology.Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in coding and billing.Proficiency with electronic medical record (EMR) systems and billing software.Strong communication skills for interacting with patients, healthcare providers, and insurance companies.Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.Benefits :
