About the Role
The Company is in search of a Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) to take on a pivotal role in organizing and leading personnel operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for guiding and strengthening citywide HR systems, workforce relations, and talent development strategies. This is a strategic position that requires a forward-thinking, inclusive HR executive to serve as a steward of the city's most valuable resource - its people. The CHRO will lead the centralized Human Resources and Personnel Department, working closely with the Mayor and executive team to ensure the effective management of a professional workforce.
Applicants for the CHRO position at the company must have a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, with a preference for a Master’s degree, and at least 10 years of experience in personnel administration or labor relations. A minimum of three years' in public HR management and leadership is also required. The ideal candidate will have extensive HR and labor relations experience, particularly in a public or unionized environment, and be a strategic, compassionate, and data-informed leader. The role is not a routine HR administrator position; it demands a leader who can serve as a strategic partner and is dedicated to the growth and development of the city's workforce.
