JOB SUMMARY

Plans, coordinates, and manages audits and third-party investigations under the direction of compliance and legal leadership.

Assists with the development of corrective actions and monitoring activities to mitigate risk and validate ongoing compliance with government regulatory requirements.

Under the direction of the Compliance leadership, conducts assigned internal investigations reported though the compliance / ethics line as applicable, to include research and investigation addressing concerns or questions related to any compliance or regulatory requirements.

Provides support to compliance and legal leadership during government investigations, including document indexing, collecting medical record review summaries, research regarding applicable laws and regulatory requirements, collecting and organizing internal policies, procedures / operational processes, and maintaining investigation file integrity.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Minimum Education

  • Degree in healthcare, business, or related field and an associate degree to be completed within 2.6 years of hire date

Minimum Work Experience

  • 3+ years of project planning, LEAN SIX SIGMA experience in a compliance-related field or healthcare industry
  • Required Licenses / Certifications
  • Completion of Healthcare Compliance Certification from the Compliance Certification Board (“CCB”) and / or a Graduate Certificate in Health Care Compliance (“CHC”) within three (3) years of hire and maintain such certification throughout employment
  • Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities

  • Knowledge of and / or experience in regulations that impact hospitals
  • Requires excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to problem solve and perform research is essential
  • Must be organized, versatile, and able to work independently
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Attention to every detail
  • Highest degree of credibility, integrity, and discretion
  • Comfortable working independently and able to effectively manage large, complex projects through their entire life cycle with minimal supervision
  • Thrives on wide variety of intellectually challenging work
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications such as Word and Excel
