Surgery - Cardiovascular Physician

Looking to bring your cardiovascular surgery expertise to the scenic heart of the Rockies? We re seeking a Board-Certified Cardiovascular Surgeon for ongoing locum tenens call coverage in Colorado Springs, CO . This is a Level 1 trauma hospital where your advanced surgical skills will truly make an impact. Work alongside a dedicated team of two physicians and five mid-levels in a high-acuity, adult-only hospital setting.

• ? Schedule Overview :

1 2 weeks / month of 24-hour call coverage (6a 6a)

Mix of weekends and vacation weekday call

Ongoing need starting as soon as credentialed

Flexible scheduling specific dates set after offer acceptance

Job Highlights :

Comprehensive malpractice coverage

Average : 1 2 admissions / day, 8 10 ICU patients, 1 2 surgeries / day

No thoracic backup during coverage

Epic EMR 12 ICU beds 400-bed facility

Required Expertise :

Open Cardiovascular / Thoracic Surgery

CABG (on-pump & off-pump)

Congenital repairs (ASD, VSD, PFO)

Valve repair / replacement

Aneurysm repair (cardiac & aorto-thoracic)

ECMO cannulation & stabilization

Preferred Skills :

Central / arterial / PA catheter lines

Acute BP / volume management

IABP insertion

Submission Requirements (Must be confirmed at name clear) :

Board Certified (CV Surgery)

Active CO License or IMLC

Able to perform all required procedures including dissections

Recent case logs showing strong surgical volume

ACLS / BLS (AHA only) or willingness to obtain

COVID-19 vaccinated

Clean malpractice / background
