Description

Joyce University is seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Clinical Placement Operations to lead our efforts in creating exceptional clinical experiences for students while expanding and strengthening our network of clinical partners. This pivotal role blends leadership, strategy, and relationship-building to ensure seamless student placements, robust partner engagement, and scalable operations that support our mission of preparing the next generation of healthcare professionals.

What You’ll Do

Leadership and Strategy

  • Provide strategic oversight of student placement forecasting, tracking, and execution in coordination with academic programs.
  • Lead, develop, and supervise clinical operations staff to ensure alignment with institutional priorities and regulatory compliance.
  • Build and maintain a collaborative team culture focused on professional development, accountability, service, and continuous improvement.
  • Partner with executive and academic leaders to identify and execute opportunities for placement expansion locally, regionally, and nationally.

Clinical Partnerships and Relationship Management

  • Expand clinical opportunities by initiating new partnerships and negotiating umbrella / system-wide agreements.
  • Lead efforts to cultivate and maintain positive relationships with current and prospective clinical partners.
  • Represent the university with professionalism and intention during site visits, advisory board meetings, and other strategic engagements.
  • Establish and maintain regular touchpoints with clinical sites, including scheduled site visits, to foster strong partnerships and support high-quality student learning experiences.
  • Operations and Compliance

  • Oversee and advance data capabilities in collaboration with the data analytics team to track progress and pipeline metrics, providing actionable insights for executive leadership.
  • Lead the placement administration process, ensuring compliance with established timelines and institutional policies.
  • Establish and maintain processes to ensure compliance with immunization records, affiliation agreements, accreditation requirements, and student documentation.
  • Collaborate with the Registrar, IT, and program leadership to support registration, placement systems, and operational tools.
  • Serve as the administrative point of contact for site-related issues and lead resolution efforts in collaboration with university stakeholders.
  • Communication and Collaboration

  • Oversee communication workflows for both internal placement operations and external partner engagement.
  • Develop and implement innovative procurement strategies to expand the clinical footprint in alignment with business objectives.
  • Ensure accurate, up-to-date clinical site records, contact lists, and communication logs.
  • Collaborate across departments to report on placement metrics, identify bottlenecks, and proactively resolve challenges.
  • Continuous Improvement and Innovation

  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and develop actionable plans that enhance scalability and promote student and partner satisfaction.
  • Support and execute special projects and growth initiatives as assigned by senior leadership.
  • Ensure all departmental activities align with the institution’s mission, vision, and values.

  • 4–5 years of experience in clinical operations, project management, or a related leadership role.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage complex processes.
