Responsibilities :

• Verify patient insurance coverage and ensure all required authorizations are obtained prior to services.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers and insurance companies to facilitate accurate and timely processing of claims.
• Monitor and update patient records in the Epic EMR system to reflect verified insurance information.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies related to insurance payments and coverage.
• Ensure prompt payment by identifying and addressing any issues with insurance claims.
• Handle referrals and verify insurance details to support efficient patient care.
• Communicate with patients regarding their insurance coverage and provide clarity on any concerns.
• Maintain compliance with healthcare regulations and insurance policies.
• Generate reports on insurance verification activities and present findings to management.
• Work closely with the billing department to streamline reimbursement processes.
• Proven experience in medical insurance verification and authorization processes.
• Familiarity with health insurance coverage policies and procedures.
• Strong knowledge of Epic EMR or similar electronic medical record systems.
• Ability to ensure accurate processing of insurance payments and referrals.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication abilities to liaise with patients, providers, and insurance companies.
• Knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance standards.
