Pennsylvania Licensed Medical Coder

A company is looking for a Medical Coder (IP DRG Coding). Key Responsibilities Review and analyze medical records to identify diagnoses and procedures for coding Translate diagnostic and procedural phrases into coded form using appropriate coding guidelines Communicate with healthcare providers to clarify documentation and ensure accurate coding Required Qualifications, Training, and Education High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED) required Completion of a billing / coding diploma or specialty training required Minimum of 1 year of related work experience required Certification as a Certified Professional Coder (AAPC), Certified Risk Adjustment Coder (AAPC), or Registered Health Information Technician (AHIMA) required at time of hire for higher levels
