A Brief Overview

Using discretion and independent judgment, the Speech-Language Pathologist assumes the responsibility to provide a comprehensive evaluation of cognitive communication skills and / or swallowing function and provide goal oriented treatment to facilitate maximum communication and / or swallowing potential for Acute Care populations. This position requires initiative, action in assigned responsibility, and understanding of physical, mental, psychological and social needs of patient's understanding of communication skills, evaluation and treatment. A desire to work in collaboration with associates to provide quality interdisciplinary patient programming is required.

Education Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved program satisfying the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association's academic practicum requirements for the Certificate of Clinical Competence.
