Job Title : Laser Operator

Job Description

The Laser Operator is responsible for operating a computer-controlled turret and other machinery used in the metal fabrication process, adhering strictly to specific work instructions. This role involves managing equipment such as lasers, EML, Vikings, Timesaver, punch press, shear, and forklifts, among others, to produce high-quality parts. The position also includes setting up tooling for operators and moving materials as needed.

Responsibilities

• Adjust production equipment and machinery setups.
• Clean equipment and machinery to maintain operational efficiency.
• Examine products or work to verify conformance to specifications.
• Measure, weigh, or count products or materials for accuracy.
• Monitor production machinery and equipment operation to detect and resolve any issues.
• Operate metal or plastic fabricating equipment and machinery.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders.
• Set up computer numerical control machines and other production equipment.
• Utilize computers to input, access, or retrieve data.
• Employ hand or power tools and precision measuring tools or equipment.
• Use Statistical Process Control Data to determine necessary machine adjustments.
• Inspect and measure extruded products for defects and conformity to specifications.
• Start machines and set controls for vacuum, air pressure, sizing rings, and temperature.
• Replace worn dies when products deviate from specifications.
• Reel extruded products into rolls of specified lengths and weights.
• Troubleshoot, maintain, and perform minor repairs to equipment.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $21.00 / hr.
