Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities
Account Generation / Sales Growth :
- Drive seal sales in conjunction with current sales staff.
- Follow up on referrals and new leads
- Identify business opportunities and threats
- Monitor and report competitor activities to company colleagues and management
- Regularly improve product knowledge by attending company and vendor sponsored training programs
Account Management :
Maintain established customer relationships with regular visitsMaintain Company's Customer Relationship Management database with current informationIdentify opportunities to expand product base within every customer accountReview customer operations for improving business process opportunitiesContinuously update all customers on company product capabilities, services, and enhancementsLiaising between the company, vendors and customers for up-to-date information on pricing, service, and other issuesCustomer Relations :
Generate proposals, presentations, and sales contractsCommunicate expected delivery dates and expedite orders as necessaryProvide trouble-shooting expertiseAssist with shipment issues; resolve product related problemsDevelop the plan to achieve territory sales goals and targetsPrepare required sales reports for managementComplete expense reports in a timely fashionEducation and Experience :
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent work experienceStrong technical knowledge of mechanical seals, pumps, and support systemsKnowledge of the issues affecting distribution, manufacturing, and supply chain managementTechnical sales experience preferred, but not requiredKey Competencies :
