The Target Hiring Range for this position is :  $44,757

Join the Sergeant at Arms (SAA) as a Parking Operations Specialist. In this position, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the security and compliance of vehicles parking within the SAA’s jurisdiction. From verifying authorizations to providing exceptional customer service and performing vehicle assistance tasks, you'll be an essential asset in maintaining safety and convenience for all Senate permit holders. The incumbent is customer-focused and ready to contribute their talents to the SAA’s Parking Operations’ team.

Key Accountabilities / Essential Job Duties

Verifies authorization of drivers and vehicles in parking areas under SAA jurisdiction; routinely checks parked vehicles to ensure security compliance with parking rules. Provides customer service to Congressional permit holders. Monitors and patrols parking areas to ensure vehicle security; reports unusual / suspicious vehicles, persons, or activities to a Lead, Supervisor, and / or Capitol Police. Performs requested vehicle jump starts; AAA trained to unlock vehicles when keys are locked inside. Other duties as assigned.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

Required Education

High school Diploma or GED.

Other Duties / Responsibilities

• Regularly fills in for Administrative Specialists and Permit Issuance Specialist; performs duties including but not limited to : issuing permits, answering phones, sending and receiving emails, processing TranSAAct requests, data entry, issuing Senate plates and placards.
• Fills in for Enforcement Specialists as needed.
• Schedule adjustment may be required.

Required Special Skills / Knowledge
