About The Position

Job Title : Sterile Tech

Shift : Nights

Hours per Shift : 8 hours, 11 PM - 7 : 30 AM, Monday - Friday with rare weekend need

Experience : Minimum 2 years of experience in Sterile Processing

License : No specific license required

Certifications : BLS (AHA or ARC), CBSPD, Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) via HSPA

Must-Have :

Must have 2 years of SPD experience.

Must have experience working with Neuro, Ortho, and DaVinci Robotics.

Must have experience with SQ Track.

Will accept first-time travelers.

Prefer someone with experience in a large hospital rather than a surgery center.

Description :

Decontaminate, inspect, and assemble surgical instruments.

Operate washers and sterilizers.

Monitor sterilization cycles and indicators.

Maintain accurate records.

Store and distribute sterile items.

Ensure compliance with infection control and regulatory standards.

Common cases include Neuro, Ortho, DaVinci, General, and Pediatric cases, among others.

The average case load is 60-70 cases per day, with 8-10 DaVinci cases.

Experience with Stryker instrumentation is a plus.

Day Shift SPD role will be in Decon, but there is potential to float throughout the line.

Common equipment to disinfect includes Sterilizer systems such as Sterrad, VPro Max 2 (Low Temperature), Belimed, Getinge, and Steris (Steam Sterilizers).

The tracking system used is SQ Track.

There are supervisors and lead techs on each shift.

Shifts are scheduled Monday through Friday with various hours.

No call requirements.

Weekend and holiday call requirements are rare.

Travelers will experience some changes while on assignment.

The facility is busy, and travelers will have access to a break room with a fridge.

This is a great area to travel to for outdoor activities.

The hospital may cancel assignments up to four times per contract.

Charting system utilized is EpicCare Inpatient - EMR.
