Description

To operate assigned equipment or areas of the plant and perform operations related activities per the work process, utilize chemical manufacturing knowledge and experience to operate and troubleshoot the plant in a safe and efficient manner, work in a team environment where individuals often set priorities and complete work activities with minimal supervision. Work schedule is 12 hour, rotating shifts.

Job Details

Role Specific Responsibilities :

  • Monitors process conditions, equipment and control systems in order to maximize production and product quality
  • Performs tasks assigned to operations as per procedures including field checks, sampling and equipment preparation and lineups.
  • Routine tasks require the capability to lift 50 lb bags or equivalent
  • Ensures operational activities and process performance is aligned with plant and business goals
  • Performs other duties as assigned

  • Complies with company Health, Safety and Environmental policies, procedures, and arrangements
  • Reports all Health, Safety and Environmental accidents, incidents and near misses promptly
  • Acts in a safe and responsible manner at all times
  • Problem Solving and Innovation :

  • Participates in problem-solving
  • Takes responsibility and ownership for own learning and development in the spirit of continuous improvement of both self and the business
  • Assists in the training, mentoring, and assessment of other team members

  • Good communication skills in English, both written and verbal
  • Must be able to read, understandand follow operating and safety procedures
  • Good problem-solving & computer skills, mechanical aptitude, and mathematical abilities
