Die Cutter Operator

We are seeking a skilled Die Cutter Operator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for efficiently operating die cutting machinery, ensuring quality production, and maintaining equipment. Your expertise will contribute to the seamless production of packaging for major brand grocery boxed items.

Responsibilities

  • Review job ticket to understand production requirements.
  • Conduct pre-make ready activities as required.
  • Set up die, counter plates, stripping section, and press for production.
  • Pull front trim as needed to maintain quality.
  • Clean counter plates and strip down dies that are locked up.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the area around the press.
  • Perform maintenance on machinery as required.
  • Deliver cut cartons to the finishing department.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

  • Proficiency in machine operation and setup.
  • General maintenance skills.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Experience in die cutting.

    Work Environment

    Work in a large box printing facility dedicated to packaging for major brand grocery items. The production environment is loud and safety-focused, ensuring a secure workspace for all employees.

    Job Type & Location

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Portland, Oregon.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $24.00 / hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms. If eligible, the benefits available for this temporary role may include the following :
