Responsibilities :
- Program both safety and non-safety PLCs and Operator HMIs according to standards and customer specifications.
- Provide the technical expertise required for computer and PLC setup, programming, and assistance, including the planning / writing and testing / debugging of programming code as necessary.
- Configure and program network remote I / O devices using Ethernet IP, PROFIBUS, and PROFINET.
- Work collaboratively with Electrical Engineers and Applications Engineers to complete systems that meet customer expectations and deadlines.
- Perform startup, testing, and debugging of hardware, including all field devices.
- Travel to customer facilities to complete installations, make modifications, and support run-offs when necessary.
- Provide input to engineering, manufacturing, and management as appropriate to inform them of findings that are significant to improving existing products and / or new products.
