Responsibilities and Expectations
- HELOC Processor
- Ensure loans are processed in accordance with established Bank guidelines, policies and procedures.
- Order property abstract / O&E, automated value model or appraisal, and other verifications as required.
- Coordinate transactions with loan officers and underwriters.
- Review documents for accuracy.
- Manage pipeline daily to ensure closing deadlines are met.
- Interact with Mortgage Department to resolve file discrepancies and, as necessary, provide required documentation.
- Act as liaison with borrowers, customers, other bank employees, outside entities to facilitate loan processes.
- Assist in resolution of Post Close and / or Quality Control requests.
- Perform all duties in accordance with Equity Bank mortgage standards.
- Store all loan documents in Loan Operating System (LOS) as received.
- HELOC Loan Compliance
- Ensure loans are in accordance with state and federal regulations such as, but not limited to, RESPA, HMDA and Fair Lending Practices
- Stay up to date on the changing rules and regulations pertaining to both private and government-insured mortgages.
- Work in accordance to published department service level agreement.
- Benchmark of less than 5% error ratio as documented through Quality Control reports, Internal Audits, External Audits and Regulatory Examinations
- Employee is responsible for understanding and following the applicable laws and regulations for their job responsibilities including but not limited to Equity Bank Business Ethic and Conduct policy, Bank Secrecy Act, Information security, and Suspicious Activity reporting requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned, required, or requested. HELOC Processor may become a Mortgage Loan Processor as needed.
Required Skills & Education
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experienceWorking knowledge of Encompass Loan Operating System (LOS) is a plus.1-2 years Loan Processing experience or HELOC experienceAbility to make decisions in a time sensitive manner.Knowledge of compliance and disclosure requirementsExcellent interpersonal skills and professional mannerComputer skills, Microsoft OfficeWho we are
