We are seeking the immediate hire of a Commercial Building Inspector for Columbia, South Carolina. The successful candidate will work under the direction of the Region's Business Unit Manager. They will be responsible for performing daily inspections on residential and commercial construction projects and other assignments as directed.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Performs scheduled assignments between the hours of 8 : 00am and 5 : 00pm Monday Friday
• Completes daily duties responsibly and safely with respect to private and personal property.
• Readily communicates with staff, citizens, teammates, and builder / contractors as necessary.
• Maintains detailed records and reports of all inspections and compliance cases.
• Assists client staff and team members whenever necessary.
• Updates files, answers phone calls, and schedules inspections as necessary.
• Maintains ICC certifications and professional credentials.
• Secures additional ICC certifications, attends training opportunities, and consistently studies codes and standards as related to work requirements.
