They also assumes an active role in clinical education of patients, families and staff; and functions as a role model within respiratory and inter-professional teams, fostering open communication, mutual respect, teamwork, and shared decision-making to achieve quality patient care.

Respiratory therapists at Children's Colorado are an integral part of the multidisciplinary team. We rely on our RTs to drive innovative care practices and improve outcomes for our patients and families.

Respiratory Therapists on our Anschutz Medical Campus work in our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU), Cardiac Progressive Care Unit (CPCU), Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CICU ) , Emergency Department and in acute care (post-surgical unit, rehabilitation unit, hematology / oncology, general care and pulmonary care).

Children's Colorado offers ample opportunities for professional growth and development. Respiratory therapists can join a core team, such as ECMO, Flight Team, research and more. RTs at Children's Colorado have also moved into management roles and became educators to train new respiratory therapists in pediatric best practices.

Annual Salary Range : $31.55 / hr. to $47.31 / hr.

Hours per week : Full time and part time schedules available. Please choose your preference in the questions below.

Shift : There are a variety of shifts available for this role.

This position is eligible for relocation assistance, if relocating from 100 miles or greater

Qualifications :

Respiratory Therapist

• Education : Associate degree in Respiratory Therapy / Care is required at the time of hire. Bachelor's degree in preferred.
• Experience : Minimum of one (1) year experience delivering respiratory therapy / care
• Certification(s) :
• Certification as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers from the American Heart Association
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required within 90 days of hire
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) for Healthcare Providers from the American Heart Association required within 90 days of hire if working in Medical / Surgical and / or Emergency Department
• Achievement and maintenance of a National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) credentialed as a Neonatal / Pediatric Respiratory Care Specialist (RRT-NPS) or Registered Pulmonary Function Technologist (RPFT) if working in an Ambulatory setting preferred.
• Licensure(s) : State of Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA) Respiratory Therapist license
