Technical Writer-Cyber & Physical Security

We are seeking a detail-oriented Technical Writer to support documentation efforts for Cyber and Physical Security initiatives. This role will focus on creating, maintaining, and organizing clear, accurate, and user-friendly documentation for security operations, policies, and emergency response procedures. The ideal candidate will work closely with subject matter experts to ensure all materials align with security best practices, compliance requirements, and operational needs.

Key Responsibilities :

Develop clear and concise security documentation for both technical and non-technical audiences, including user manuals, configuration guides, security policies, training materials, and white papers.

Collaborate with security engineers, analysts, and other stakeholders to gather technical details and subject matter expertise.

Ensure all content is accurate, consistent, and aligned with industry security standards.

Maintain and update existing documentation to reflect changes in policies, procedures, and systems.

Implement a content management strategy for security-related materials.

Design user-friendly documentation that is easy to navigate and understand.

Support the transition to a new data storage platform for emergency response plans.

Understand and incorporate compliance and security posture requirements into documentation.

Minimum Qualifications :

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field. Equivalent security experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

Knowledge of IT security principles and methods.

Familiarity with vulnerability management, patch management, and incident response.

Experience collecting and analyzing data from cyber defense resources.

Skill in identifying vulnerabilities and understanding associated attack methods.

Proficiency with SIEM tools and event correlation.

Ability to conduct vulnerability scans and analyze results.

Strong written communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

High attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications :

Experience with both cyber and physical security.

Prior work in an operations center environment.

Experience writing software documentation.
